During the school year, we make weekly deliveries every Friday (plus or minus a day). The cutoff for same week deliveries is Wednesday morning. In the rare case a bike order is delayed, we will contact you.
If you live in university owned housing we will deliver your bike and accessories to your building’s customer service center (where you pick up packages). In the event we have to lock up your bike, we will leave the keys in your mailbox.
We will call you to make sure you are available for pickup. If your receiving the bike is not feasible and you ordered a lock, we can lock your bike and drop the keys in your mailbox.
Although we are not a repair shop, if there are any issues resulting from assembly or manufacturer defect we will take care of the problem. We will either repair or replace the bike free of charge. Please note that that this does not cover cosmetic work or any after delivery damage. For normal bike work, there are several bike repair shops in the area.
At this time we cannot offer a return policy for our bikes. Dormbikes only sells new bicycles and so we could not re-sell any returned merchandise. If you would like to change the contents of your order, please contact us.
Because we avoid the costs associated with a traditional storefront (rent, utilities, idle employees), Dormbikes’ overhead is much less than its competitors. In turn, we pass these savings along to our customers.
The decision for which charity isn’t finalized but right now we are leaning towards the Good Shepherd Shelter for battered women and children. However, if you have a suggestion for a good non-profit, please let us know!
