What charity will you donate to? When do you make deliveries? During the school year, we make weekly deliveries every Friday (plus or minus a day). The cutoff for same week deliveries is Wednesday morning. In the rare case a bike order is delayed, we will contact you. In other words, how long will it take me to get my bike? Normally expect between 2-10 days depending on when you order. Where will you delivery my bike if I live in university owned housing? If you live in university owned housing we will deliver your bike and accessories to your building’s customer service center (where you pick up packages). In the event we have to lock up your bike, we will leave the keys in your mailbox. Where will you deliver my bike if I live in non-university housing? We will call you to make sure you are available for pickup. If your receiving the bike is not feasible and you ordered a lock, we can lock your bike and drop the keys in your mailbox. How will I know when my bike’s arrived? We will call you and/or send a text message when we’ve delivered your bike. Are all your bikes new? Yup. They’re all brand new. Are your bikes assembled? If you’d like, we do offer full assembly. Do you do repairs? Although we are not a repair shop, if there are any issues resulting from assembly or manufacturer defect we will take care of the problem. We will either repair or replace the bike free of charge. Please note that that this does not cover cosmetic work or any after delivery damage. For normal bike work, there are several bike repair shops in the area. At this time we cannot offer a return policy for our bikes. Dormbikes only sells new bicycles and so we could not re-sell any returned merchandise. If you would like to change the contents of your order, please contact us. How do you offer such low prices? Because we avoid the costs associated with a traditional storefront (rent, utilities, idle employees), Dormbikes’ overhead is much less than its competitors. In turn, we pass these savings along to our customers. Who manufactures your bicycles? Micargi Bicycles. They are Southern California’s largest manufacturer of beach cruiser bikes. Is Dormbikes student run? Yup! Dormbikes is a homegrown student run company. What charity will you donate to? The decision for which charity isn’t finalized but right now we are leaning towards the Good Shepherd Shelter for battered women and children. However, if you have a suggestion for a good non-profit, please let us know! |
